Sri Ramakrishna is JSK champion

Sri Ramakrishna (Coimbatore) clinched the Junior Super Kings (JSK) Inter-School T20 Championship title as it defeated Lady Andal (Chennai) by 13 runs in the summit clash at the ICL Sankar Nagar Ground in Tirunelveli on Monday.

Having won the toss and chose to bowl, Lady Andal restricted Sri Ramakrishna to 141 for six in its stipulated overs. Opening batsman K Sibiyenthal was the winning side’s top scorer, making 34 invaluable runs. Defending a little over seven runs an over, Sri Ramakrishna bowlers G Govinth (2/27) and M Imran Khan (2/18) got two wickets each to reduce Lady Andal to 128 for seven, ensuring an easy win.


India international Murali Vijay gave away the awards and trophies, while The Muthoot Group TN South Zonal Head NS Srikanth, CSKCL CEO KS Viswanathan and India Cements (Tirunelveli) Joint President Shanmugam were also present on the occasion.


Brief scores: Sri Ramakrishna(Coimbatore) 141 for 6 in 20 overs (K Sibiyenthal 34, G Susheel 26, C Senthil Kumar 28*, V Sriram Ishwar 29, K Vaidyanathan 2/31) beat Lady Andal (Chennai) 128 for 7 in 20 overs (M Arvindh 43, G Vedanth 22, G Govinth 2/27, M Imran Khan 2/18).
