TN suffers second successive loss
Tamil Nadu’s Arshi Choudhary’s unbeaten knock of 105 went in vain as the host lost to Tripura by two wickets in the BCCI U-23 Elite C one-day tournament here on Tuesday.

This was TN’s second successive loss in the tournament. Batting first, TN posted 218 for four in 50 overs with Arshi scoring 105 not out (149b, 12x4, 1x6). Arshi found able support in K Yogyasri who remained not out on 78 (114b, 8x4). The duo added 181 runs in 244 balls for the unbroken fifth wicket. They came in with their team struggling at 37 for four in the 10th over.
In reply, Tripura reached the target with only a ball to spare. Nikita Debnath was the highest scorer with 39.
In another match, Goa skipper Sanjula S Naik’s 111 not out went in vain as her team lost to Chhattisgarh by 31 runs.
