Tamil Nadu beats Chhattisgarh
Opening batswoman C Shushaanthika (96 not out) scored an unbeaten half-century as Tamil Nadu defeated Chhattisgarh by seven wickets in the BCCI Women Under-19 Elite ‘C’ One-Day duel in Rajkot on Friday.

Opting to bat first, Chhattisgarh managed only 163 for seven, with none of its players crossing the 40-run mark. Chasing a little over three runs per over, Tamil Nadu got things done with 13 balls to spare, thanks to Shushaanthika’s knock. Her 157-ball patient innings was laced with 12 boundaries.
Brief scores: Chhattisgarh 163 for 7 in 50 overs (Aishwarya Singh 37, Kumud Sahu 39, Jyoti Nat 26) lost to Tamil Nadu 167 for 3 in 47.5 overs (C Shushaanthika 96*, MS Aishwarya 25*).
