‘A’ Division Volleyball League from today

In all, 10 teams will take part in the competition, with every side playing each other once on a round-robin basis. The team that finishes at the top of the points table will be the champion, while the sides which occupy the last four spots in the standings will be relegated to the ‘B’ Division.

It is to be noted that Chepauk Friends Volleyball Club and Indian Bank, teams that came first and second respectively in the ‘B’ Division last year, have been promoted to the ‘A’ Division. In the previous edition of the ‘A’ Division Championship, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) came out victorious.

This year’s winner will take home the Sree Balaji Medical College and Hospital Trophy while the runner-up will be presented the Aachi Group of Companies Trophy. The total cash prize is Rs 3,50,000.
