It's unknown which day McIntyre and Lesnar will square off, but it is expected to headline whichever night it takes place. Ahead of the much-anticipated match against Lesnar, McIntyre shared his thoughts in an exclusive interaction with DT Next.
What should people expect from your match against Brock Lesnar?
You can expect a bar-fight considering Brock Lesnar and I are physical performers, people could have experienced a physical match and would have been remembered for a long time but now the fact that we’re in the Performance Centre, there’s nobody there to watch. There are millions watching at home through their lens but no one in the stadium. And realistically, this is going to be a bar-fight. And Brock and I are going to go in there with all we got. We’re two strong performers who don’t mind to hit or be hit and I think it will be the match that people will remember for the physicality.
Why should people around the world tune-in to WrestleMania?
I think there are a number of reasons to tune-in to WrestleMania this year. I am very proud that we’re bringing everybody unique content during these difficult times to take everybody’s mind off everything. We’ve got some big matches – Goldberg returning to the arena; Edge returns after nine years, for a personal, bitter rivalry with Randy Orton. That’s a very big deal. But most importantly, Drew McIntyre is finally at the pinnacle of his 19-year-quest for the WWE championship. All I have to do is beat Brock Lesnar and with people sending all the positive energy, I’m going to take down the Beast. I really hope that it gives everybody a few hours of entertainment.
