Premier League title contenders Liverpool and Manchester City secured victories on their comeback from the international break.
While Liverpool defeated Watford 2-0 at Anfield, City emerged victorious by the same scoreline at Burnley. Portuguese forward Diogo Jota (22’) opened the scoring for Liverpool, with Fabinho (89’) converting a penalty a minute from normal time.
In the Burnley-City clash, Kevin De Bruyne (5’) and Ilkay Gundogan (25’) got on the scoresheet in the first half.
