CHENNAI: Chennaiyin FC registered a thumping 5-1 win over fellow Indian Super League club Odisha FC in a friendly match at the SRMC Ground here on Saturday. Skipper Anirudh Thapa (4th minute), Rahim Ali (48th), Petar Sliskovic (55th), Kwame Karikari (83rd) and Suhail Pasha (89th) netted a goal each for Chennaiyin, which dominated the second half.
Diego Mauricio (33rd) struck the only goal for the visiting Odisha team. Midfielder Sourav Das, who missed the Durand Cup with an injury, and winger K Prasanth made their maiden appearance in a CFC ‘blue’. While Sourav was introduced around the hour-mark, Prasanth was handed a start by head coach Thomas Brdaric.
