Speculations rife as Pondy CM, Cabinet leave for New Delhi
Different speculations are doing the rounds in UT as the Chief Minister V Narayanasamy along with his Cabinet Colleagues and some Congress legislators left for New Delhi.

According to party sources, they are scheduled to meet the AICC president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi to discuss about party affairs here. Though, Narayanasamy after his victory in the Nellithoppe assembly by-election went to New Delhi, he could not meet Sonia Gandhi then. Party sources here said that as per Congress policy, one person can hold only one post. In Puducherry, the PCC President is also holding the post of PWD Minister. This will be brought to the notice of Sonia for change of guard. Meanwhile, Narayanasamy called on the Union Minister of state for Petroleum Dharmendra Pradhan for laying LPG pipe line in Puducherry, Karaikal and Yanam. An official statement said he sought financial support from ONGC, Karaikal, for constructing a super speciality hospital in Karaikal and Rs 30 crore for improving infrastructure in government schools.
Pradhan had assured him to release the fund, the statement said. Banks have expressed their inability to provide salary of government employees in cash. Officials informed the CM that Rs 150 crore would be required to pay salary to more than 30,000 government employees and pensioners. The public, traders and other sectors would be severely hit and hence, it would not be possible to pay in cash.
