Puducherry chief minister V Narayanasamy condoled the demise of his Tamil Nadu counterpart and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa.

Narayanasamy told news persons that he was deeply grieved hearing the news of the demise of Jayalalithaa who is not with us now. Her demise is a great loss to Tamil Nadu, he said adding that he is sharing the grief with the AIADMK workers. Narayanasamy expressed condolence on behalf of his cabinet colleagues, on behalf of the legislators ,on behalf of the people of Puducherry and on his own behalf. “All government offices and educational institutions will remain closed here today and the flags will fly half mast. Puducherry will also observe mourning for the number of days declared by the centre,” he added. He recalled the several schemes introduced by Jayalalithaa in Tamil Nadu. He said they were all very popular and targeted at the needy, who held her in great esteem.
