Srirangam gets ready for Vaikunta Ekadasi
The Vaikunta Ekadasi festival at Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple in Srirangam is scheduled to be held from December 28 with Thirunedunthadagam event and the main event Sorga Vasal thirappu will be held on January 8.

According to the temple sources, the Thirune dunthadagam event, will start at 7 pm on December 28 at Gayathri Mandapam in front of the Santum Sanctorum. Subsequently, the P agal pathu will commence on December 29 and on the 10th day of the event (on January 7) the Lord Namperumal will be adorned with Mohini Alangaram. The deity will be brought for darshan on January 8. At 5 am, the paramapada Vasal will be opened and Namperumal will give darshan in a precious-stone studded angi. Subsequently, the Thiruvaimozhi in view of Ra pathu event will commence. It will go on for 10 days till January 18. During Margazhi, the Lord Namperumal can be seen by devotees in various alankarams.
