Cow is embodiment of our vedic ethos, says Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams chairman
Devotional fervour peaked in the S V Goshala at Tirupati when a Go Puja was observed with aplomb on the festival day of Kanuma.

The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurthy, Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao, renowned spiritual scholar Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao were present in the fete and delivered their message on this occasion.
“Cow is an embodiment of our deities and our Vedic aspirations and it becomes our foremost responsibility to protect, promote, propagate and respect the Gomata,” Dr Krishnamurthy said whie addressing the audience during the occasion.
Dr Sambasiva Rao said, “Protection and promotion of indigenous breeds of cows is our primary motto. We have more than 2700 desi breeds in Tirupati and in the Tirumala Goshalas. We are committed to take this as a movement by developing our sprawling 650 acre Goshala at Palamaner too,” he elaborated.
In his special address, Koteswara Rao called upon all the devotees who visit the Tirumala and Tirupati to make it a habit to pay a visit to the SV Goshala too after offering their prayers to Goddess Padmavathi and Lord Venkateswara. Special pujas were performed to the cattle in the Goshala. Cultural programmes were held to entertain devotees. Director of Gosala Dr K Harnath Reddy, huge number of denizens and others were present during the occasion.
