Election only way to pick people’s CM, says Krishnasamy
If people want their choice of person to be the Chief Minister, then election is the only choice, said Puthiya Tamilagam Katchi (PT) founder K Krishnasamy. The scenario in the State is pointing at an early election, he opined. He expressed dissatisfaction over the manner in which the floor test was held in the assembly on Saturday.

According to him, the floor test did not turn out to be in the way people wanted it. Leader of the Dalit based party also condemned assembly speaker P Dhanapal for not conducting the vote of trust using the secret ballot system. Addressing reporters in Coimbatore, on Saturday evening, he said that the floor test was conducted in an undemocratic manner.
“The AIADMK MLAs were locked in a resort for 10 days. They were brought to the assembly and taken back in the same vehicle. They should have been allowed to interact with their voters and know what they want and take a decision in the assembly without any interference or influence. But this did not happen,” he said.
On the other hand, he said that this was not the way a floor test should have been conducted, by sending out all the opposition party MLAs. “The governor should not accept the support extended by the 122 MLAs to form the government. If the AIADMK was so confident of getting majority, why did the speaker deny the request of the opposition parties for a secret ballot system?” he asked.
He felt that the AIADMK has cheated themselves, and not the people, by claiming that they have emerged winners in the floor test.
