“Since the present government is not interested in resolving the doubts among public regarding the death of Amma, we are holding this hunger strike to divert their attention to this issue and probe into her death,” a senior AIADMK leader said.

In this connection, Party President E Madhusoodhanan has written to the city police seeking permission for Panneerselvam and around 10,000 AIADMK cadre affiliated to their faction to assemble at the Chepauk Guest House between 9 am and 5 pm to conduct the hunger strike.
