‘PWF will not mingle with Dravidian parties’

“There is still a doubt as to whether civic polls will be conducted as per the Court order. Only then we can talk about alliance,” said Thol Thirumavalavan, President of VCK. The PWF might or might not tie up with other parties in accordance with the political situation prevailing before the civic polls and it is too early to predict any alliance, he added.
Meanwhile, R Mutharasan, state secretary, CPI, too wondered whether the civic polls would be conducted in the state. “Let the State Election Commission announce the date for civic polls, after which PWF will pick up talks for alliance or anything,” he commented.
G Ramakrishnan, state secretary, CPM, said, “There is still a lot of time to discuss for preparing civic polls and our party will hold talks with VCK and CPI before the elections.” Asked about the possibility of PWF to forge alliance with any other party, Ramakrishnan quipped, “Chances for political alliance remain very remote. It is also a fact that we, the PWF, are determined not to mingle with the Dravidian parties.”
