The EOW officials from Delhi arrested Srinivasan from his Anna Nagar residence after getting a warrant from a magistrate court in the national capital, after the actor repeatedly ignored the summons issued by the wing. The officials later produced Srinivasan at the Egmore court and took him to Delhi.
Srinivasan was first arrested by the EOW based on a complaint from a Delhi-based businessman Deepak, who was the owner of Blue Coast Infrastructure Development Pvt. Ltd., alleging that the actor had approached them and offered to get them a loan of Rs 1,000 crors. He had demanded a commission of Rs 10 crore for arranging the loan and the company had paid him the amount.
However, the actor failed to keep his promise and refused to return the amount, forcing the company to lodge a cheating complaint against him. Srinivasan, who was then imprisoned for three months, later came out on bail, police said.
