Stalin’s tactics to topple AIADMK government will not work, says Dinakaran

Reacting to Stalin’s statement that elections to the state Assembly was possible even before the local body polls, TTV Dinakaran, the deputy general secretary of AIADMK, said the people of Tamil Nadu knew that Opposition Leader’s tactics would not work as one crore cadre and 122 MLAs backed the AIADMK government which was following in the footsteps of Jayalalithaa.

Stating that Stalin failed to understand that a government elected by the people could not be toppled, he said “all their efforts to capture power cannot make even a dent in the party. As per the words of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, the AIADMK will rule for hundreds of years.” Calling Stalin, a day-dreamer, Dinakaran added that statements like “we will support you even if the AIADMK does not,” were meant to split the party. “Never expect a repeat of 1987,” he warned the DMK.

He also said that former chief minister O Paneerselvam, who was following the diktats of Stalin, was also deluded as he was now saying that they would win with the ‘Two Leaves’ symbol in the RK Nagar by polls.

“He was issuing such statements to prevent his supporters from coming back to the parent organisation as they now know which is the real AIADMK. History has no evidence of betrayers achieving victory ever,” Dinkaran said and added that the dreams of Stalin and OPS would never become a reality.
