Claiming that Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy was doing a good job, he said there would be no change in the Chief Minister even after he won.
Dinakaran said he would continue to work for the welfare programmes started by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. When asked about O Panneerselvam approaching the Election Commission on party related issues, he said, “His drama will last for another one week only.”
Asked about Union Minister of State for Shipping Pon Radhakrishnan who said that the clout of Dravidian parties were deteriorating, he said that was his personal opinion. He said he was inviting the BJP, Congress, MDMK, DMDK and the PWF to join him.
When questioned as to why he was inviting others for an alliance while Jayalalithaa had always gone it alone in the polls, Dinakaran said, “She was a great leader and I am in no way comparable to her. Comparing me to her saddens me.”
