In a statement announcing the same, Stalin said that he had met protesting farmers in New Delhi earlier and promised to hold all party meet to discuss their problems in his capacity as the leader of the principal opposition party.

Accordingly, the party has invited all leaders for the meeting, Stalin reasoned, expressing dissatisfaction at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Palanisamy not engaging the state farmers who are protesting for a month now.

DMK's announcement comes barely two days after Tamil Nadu farmers' led by Ayyakannu vainly held a naked protest at the national capital.
