Emu firm properties auctioned
Seized properties of seven fraudulent Emu firms were auctioned at Erode and Coimbatore on Tuesday.

As part of the movable and immovable properties that are auctioned in a phased manner, 31 movable and immovable properties and office equipment came for auction. The properties belonged to Greenlife Farms and Poultry, Queen Emu Farms, Sakthi Emu Farms, Suvi Emu Farms, Susi Emu Farms (India), N S Agro Farms and Hatcheries and Ram Country Chicks.
At the Erode Collectorate, 13 four-wheelers were brought for auction and nine of them were auctioned for Rs 23.47 lakh. Of the six pieces of land, two were auctioned for Rs 86 lakh. Two two-wheelers were auctioned for Rs 30,000 and office equipment were auctioned for Rs 3.11 lakh. The total value of the items auctioned at the Erode Collectorate was Rs 1,12,88,000. In a separate sale at Perundurai two of the three pieces of land were auctioned.
Seven four-wheelers including two luxury cars and five hatchback cars were auction for Rs 30 lakh at the South Taluk Office in Coimbatore, in the presence of District Revenue Officer Durai Ravichandran and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the Economic Offences Wing C Thambidurai.
The DSP said that those properties that did not have bidders in the auction will be auctioned along with other seized commodities in the next phase.
