​AIADMK merger talks: Confusion as both camps put up demands

The merger move between AIADMK(A) and AIADMK(PTA) hits its first bottleneck when the latter demanded that talks would be possible only if the rivals accepted and implemented two prime conditions, former minister KP Munusamy told the media at Panneerselvam’s Greenways road residence on Thursday.

The first pertained to the state government seeking a CBI inquiry into Jayalalithaa’s death and the next was to get back the affidavits filed before the election commission where VK Sasikala is mentioned as general secretary and TTV Dinakaran as deputy general secretary. Only after their resignations are received will talks be possible, he added.
