‘Amma group dodging on two demands’

He tweeted, “Edappadi govt can always file an affidavit that they are ready for a CBI probe. will they do? In the case at Madras High Court regarding CBI probe into Amma’s death, what is the stand of the Edappadi govt? We demand CBI probe into the mysterious death of Amma. There are no other conditions. Let them clarify their stand on these two basic conditions. We have reiterated our twin demands- CBI probe into Amma’s mysterious death and summary expulsion of Sasikala and her family from the party.” 

OPS group’s spokesperson C Ponnaiyan said, “AIADMK(Amma) is behaving like a big brother. Finance Minister D Jayakumar’s statement that he was ready to sacrifice his finance portfolio for former chief minister O Panneerselvam is an insult to us. Palanisamy telling the media in Delhi that OPS should keep in mind that he had the support of 122 MLAs before setting pre-conditions for talks also irked us.” 

Asked about the SMS sent to Munusamy and Prabakar, Ponnaiyan said, “Is this the way to communicate? They should have contacted OPS through the telephone.” We are ready to talk the minute they meet our conditions: CBI inquiry and ouster of general secretary Sasikala’s relatives.”
