Addressing the media, he claimed that during the protests at New Delhi, a person was agitating in the guise of a farmer along with Ayyakannu and the person had expressed his open support for terrorist Afzal Guru on social media. Apart from that the person had also spread lies that the Indian Army was involved in raping Muslim women in Kashmir. Raja questioned the presence of such a person at the agitation led by Ayyakannu.

He further claimed that many terrorists’ sympathisers were in the protest at Delhi and Ayyakannu should be arrested and investigated for his links with them. Moreover, he questioned the background of one of the women protesters and asked whether she was a farmer. He added that her details were put up on the social media and people were aware of the identity of the protesters.

He doubted Ayyakannu’s credentials and claimed that he was never part of the several forms of protest staged by the farmers, like eating rats and ‘stripping.’ It was for the second day in a row the BJP National Secretary had been questioning the intention of Ayyakannu behind the recent farmers’ protests conducted in New Delhi. He spoke in the same vein during a press meet in Thoothukudi on Saturday too.
