Day One: 4,738 applications registered for TNEA

Officials from Anna University say that the response is good since the application has been made public. A total of 4,738 candidates registered on day one. Close to 50 students came in person to the campus and applied. 

These students were not comfortable with the online filling process. So they came in person to the University on Monday morning. “I am not familiar with filling the application online. So, I came with my father to the college to apply for the TNEA,” said S Dinesh. The University also made elaborate arrangements to guide the students, who come in person, with the application process. In the case of online submission, students should register and apply through the official website of the TNEA, where details of the procedure are mentioned.

Students should enter the application portal and upload their personal details and enter all the academic information sought in there. 

After making the payment, students should submit the higher secondary mark details. After filling up all the columns, candidates should take out a print out of the application and submit it to the University.

Dr J Indumathi, Director, RCC & Secretary TNEA, says, “Forty-eight students, who had some doubts in the process, came to the campus on Monday to fill their applications.” 

Many teachers in rural areas are also assisting students of how to fill the application forms. P Rajasekaran, a teacher from Dharmapuri, said, “Most of the students from this district either opt for Arts and Science Colleges or take up Polytechnic courses. But there are some who are keen to join engineering colleges. We have guided them through the process of filling the applications. We have time till May 31 and have asked them not to hurry with their forms.”
