PG admissions order deferred

Apprehensions over weightage of marks meant for in-service candidates and government quota for admission of candidates in PG medical courses for 2017-18 continue to linger with the third judge set to hear arguments for a second day on Friday.

Justice M Sathyanarayanan, who was appointed as third judge to decide either way on the grant of incentive marks heard advocates appearing for in-service candidates, rural candidates and the Additional Advocate General on behalf of the government on Thursday. 

The judge is set to hear senior counsel Vijay Narayan on behalf of Medical Council of India on Friday following which the verdict is likely to be delivered.
