He said getting their concurrence is necessary as he is the accused in the road accident at Kannadi in Palakkad that claimed the lives of his wife and daughter. Sayan, who is one of the 11 accused in the Kodanad Estate case, was injured in the accident at Kannadi on April 29. He has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Coimbatore since then. On Sunday, Murali Rambha inquired Sayan at the hospital for the second time this week. The SP was in the hospital for more than three hours.

Not disclosing anything about the inquiry, the SP reiterated that only 11 persons were involved in the crime and that it was only to loot the money. Quoting hospital authorities he said Sayan’s condition was improving. He said that according to doctors he was still in the intensive care unit and he needed treatment for a few more days.

Murali Rambha added that treatment expenses for Sayan would be borne by his family. He also expressed confidence that the lone accused from Kerala, who was still at large, would soon be arrested.
