Cable TV operator held for video piracy
The anti-video piracy cell police arrested a private cable TV operator here for allegedly screening the latest Tamil movies without prior licence on Tuesday.

Sources said, the channel in question named King has been relaying programmes in and around Tiruchy for more than a year now. It is said that the anti-video piracy police have been receiving complaints against the channel over screening of latest Tamil movies.
On Monday, the channel is said to have screened the movie Dharmadurai without prior permission. On Knowing this, Dharmaraj from Chennai, who owns the licence for the movie, lodged a complaint with the anti-video piracy cell, Tiruchy branch, with proper evidence. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and conducted a search on Tuesday.
CDS of the Tamil latest movies were recovered from the spot. The channel operator Arun Kumar (28) was arrested and a search is on for the owner Vasim Rajah.
Interrogation revealed that the channel was getting ready to screen the latest hit, Baahubali 2 in a couple of days.
