Class 11 students to write board examination
Though the decision has been made, the government order will take time, State Education Minister said.

Class 11 students of the state board will now have to write board examinations from the coming academic year, State's School Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan confirmed about it to media on Wednesday.
The government has been contemplating on this idea for a long time. The suggestions were made by educationists and teachers association at the meeting chaired by the minister recently.
This move is to improve the quality of school education and prepare students for the entrance examinations like National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). However, school education officials say that though the decision has been made, the government order will take time.
