Tamil Nadu records 99.72 in ICSE, 99.34 % in ISC
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations announced the 2017 examination results for Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC) simultaneously on Monday. Students from Tamil Nadu passed with flying colours, the pass percentage for ICSE showing 99.72% and ISC 99.34%.

In Tamil Nadu, 3,162 students (1,738 boys and 1,424 girls) from 76 schools wrote the Class 10 exams and 912 Class 12 students from 35 schools the Class 12 exams. In both ICSE and ISC, girls from TN outperformed the boys. with a pass percentage of 99.86% compared to 99.60% for boys in Class 10 and in Class 12, the pass percentage of girls stood at 100% whereas boys achieved 98.84%.
The council released a merit list for Class 12 on the basis of the best three subjects plus English on a score of 400. Parmesh Ravi from Sishya School topped the TN merit list with a 394 (98.5%), Sumedha D from Chettinad Hari Shree Vidyalayam, scored 393 marks and stood second. Two students from Sishya School, Sreyans Sipani (393) and Mukunda Murali (392), secured third ranks. Candidates can apply for rechecking through www.cisce.org and forms will be made available from May 29 to June 4, according to a release.
