Tamilisai, Ponnar slam Stalin for anti-BJP comments

State BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan said that Stalin’s comments on saffronisation and independence struggle were ‘condemnable.’ Addressing the media in Coimbatore, she said, “Stalin has said that the Centre is imposing Hindi in all states indirectly and he threatened the Centre by saying that India may witness yet-another freedom struggle for Independence. It is highly condemnable.” 

Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was ruling the country in a proper manner and his mantra was ‘people’s money is for people,’ Tamilisai hit out that it was irritating the DMK politicians, who were involved in 2G scam. 

“No one can touch the Centre and the birthday of Karunanidhi was celebrated with an ulterior motive,” she charged. “It was not a celebration of diamond jubilee, but jubilee of scolding Modi, the state BJP president said and added that there were no political spaces for Stalin and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. 

They want to rule the roost in the state and Centre, but it will never happen,” she said. Tamilisai added that all their speeches would go vain as the BJP is ruling the country well.  Meanwhile, in Nagercoil, Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan slammed the diamond Jubilee celebrations as an attempt to take Tamil Nadu backward by 50 years. 

“The efforts of the Dravidian parties to push the state backwards will not succeed. The diamond jubilee celebrations are being organised by political parties who have been sidelined and boycotted by the people,” he said. 

“It is not diamond jubilee celebrations..but celebrations of old people who are defeated because people have boycotted them. It is an attempt to take the state back by 50 years” he added.  Radhakrishnan was speaking to reporters after inspecting various development projects being implemented in the district with Union government’s aid.
