Talking to media persons at the city airport, Stalin said the DMK has not attempted to topple the ruling AIADMK, which would crumble under its own weight. Referring to the three-cornered split in the party, Stalin said the various warring factions would pull the plug themselves off Edappadi K Palanisamy’s government.

Furthering his unsparing criticism of the Narendra Modiled BJP regime at the Centre, Stalin asserted that the BJP was running a proxy government in Tamil Nadu. Stalin and his party had been forecasting the fall of the AIADMK regime for some time now.

Joining issue with alliance leader, state Congress president Su Thirunavukkarasar said that the BJP has been trying to keep the AIADMK divided since late chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s death to run a proxy government in the state. “BJP does not have a political base in Tamil Nadu. Hence, they are exploiting the division in the AIADMK,” Thirunavukkarasar added.

Pointing to the support of MLAs, the three factional leaders, former chief minister O Panneerselvam, Chief Minister Palanisamy and AIADMK (Amma) deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran, enjoy at present, the TNCC chief said the BJP at the Centre was after the 50,000 votes in the AIADMK kitty.

BJP has been fuelling division in the ruling party only to advance its political interest in a state where it virtually has no p standing.

Tamilisai tells DMK leader to stop accusing BJP
Hitting back at Stalin for accusing the BJP of running a proxy government in Tamil Nadu, state BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan advised the Leader of Opposition to stop making baseless allegations against the party without evidence. Wondering where was the evidence for Stalin’s charge, she asked the working president of the principal opposition party to make it public or abstain from levelling such charges against the BJP. The party leaders in the state have of late been accusing Stalin of firing salvos at the BJP and the ruling AIADMK out of desperation triggered by the sustenance of Edappadi Palanisamy government.
