Revenue Minister refuses to reply on TTV’s re-entry

State Revenue Minister RB Udayakumar has refused to reply to a question on the re-entry of AIADMK (Amma) TTV Dinakaran into active party affairs. The Minister was in Mayandipatti near Thirumangalam in Madurai on Saturday to distribute monetary benefits to the family of a shepherd killed in lightning strike.

The Minister along with Madurai Collector K Veera Raghava Rao had gone to Mayandipatti to distribute monetary benefit for the family of one Ponnangan, a shepherd from the village, who had died in lightning strike while he was grazing goats on Wednesday. Six goats had also died in the incident. The family was given a cash compensation of Rs 4 lakh for his death and Rs 3,000 each for the six goats that had also died in the strike. 

After distributing the cheque to the family, the Minister met media persons and said that based on the orders of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy, the relief of Rs 4 lakh was distributed to the family of the victim immediately. 

He also said that 13 Ministers will meet at the Madurai Collectorate on Sunday to discuss the means of celebrating the Centenary of former chief minister M G Ramachandran in a grand manner. When asked about the re-entry of TTV Dinakaran, the Minister refused to reply and started walking away with a smile. But, he abruptly ended the press meet.
