DMK rakes up milk issue, Minister promises action

The Minister’s remarks over the private dairy farms came in reply to Tirupattur MLA A Nallathambi, who observed that the availability of milk had come down ever since the Minister’s controversial claims that rocked the trade and demanded adequate supply of Aavin milk in the short-supplied areas including his constituency.
Leader of Opposition and DMK working president MK Stalin, who joined the debate, wanted the Minister to clarify what measures were in place to prevent the said firms going scot-free by approaching courts. He also urged to supply safe milk to the consumers. “I got information about adulteration and based on that I initiated actions,” the Minister said.
