Besides, this may be the last year that students will have to come to the Anna University campus as online counselling is set to begin next year onwards. This process will also reduce chances of delays, the minister said.

Counselling for vocational candidates will start on July 17, for applicants with disabilities on July 19 and those who have applied through the Sports quota have been slotted for July 21.
While general counselling will be held between July 23 and August 11, applicants can register for supplementary counselling on August 8, which will be held the next day. The reopening day for engineering colleges has been moved to September 1.
An affidavit has been filed to postpone the reopening date from August 1 to September 1 due to the delays. Clearing the air about the change in the fee structure that was announced recently, the minister said that the new fee structure is applicable only for first year students.
B Arch Exam: Anna University will conduct a separate B Arch examination for architecture aspirants. For those who want to pursue architecture, they have to sit for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) or can be admitted with their JEE scores.
