Double lifer for raping and murdering niece

The police said that the victim was the daughter of the elder brother of the accused. The convict, Krishnan, was living in a village near Tiruchengode. The incident took place on Jan 9, 2010, in the house where the 28-year-old victim was staying. 

Due to dispute with her husband, she and her son stayed in another house. It is learnt that Krishnan, who did not have a proper job, used to often go to the victim’s house. On the said date, the victim’s son who returned from school found his mother dead with cut injuries on the neck. 

He also saw Krishnan close to the body with a blood stained shirt and raised an alarm. Hearing him, the villagers rushed to the place and alerted police.
