Over 15 injured at Sriperumpudur in bus-van collision
As many as 15 persons suffered grievous injuries when a private bus and a van collided head-on at an intersection near Sriperumpudur on Sunday.

towards Perambakkam from Poonamallee, while the van was carrying a group of people to a wedding from Tiruvallur to Sriperumpudur.
As both vehicles collided, the van toppled in the impact. Apart from those in the van, a two-wheeler rider was also injured. However, the bus passengers escaped unhurt.
Passers-by informed the ambulance service and rushed the injured to Sriperumpudur government hospital. Based on the information, Sriperumpudur police have registered a complaint and are investigating.
Earlier, a government bus bound for Chennai from Tiruvannamalai was hit by a container lorry near Nagalkeni on Saturday night, in which 16 persons were injured.
