The petitioner, Subiksha, from Madurai, in her petition, stated that she appeared for the NEET. While the petitioner belonged to the OBC, she had mistakenly ticked her class as unreserved category. When the NEET results were published, she had secured 108 marks, the eligibility criteria under the OBC category. When Subiksha checked the OBC list, she could not find her name.

So, she checked her application and found out that she had filled her class as unreserved category by mistake. So, the petitioner also prayed the court to direct the DME to consider her application and to call her for counselling.

Judge Kalyanasundaram after hearing the petition directed the DME to consider Subiksha’s application and call her for counselling.
