Vishal Krishna, who holds several posts such as the President of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Council and the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam, turned 40 on Tuesday. While his fan club members organised a plethora of events, huge posters with his picture sprang up everywhere, containing catchphrases like Tamizhagathin Urimai Kurale (Authoritative voice of Tamil Nadu) and Tamizhagathin Thanga Magane (The Golden Boy of Tamil Nadu).

Meanwhile, speculations grew stronger when TTV Dinakaran on Wednesday met actor Vishal at his residence. The AIADMK (A) Deputy General Secretary later told reporters, “Vishal has great leadership skills. I would be happy if he enters politics.” While Vishal was unavailable for comment, sources close to the actor said, “Vishal had invited TTV to his sister’s wedding. TTV couldn’t attend the wedding and hence visited the couple at Vishal’s residence. There was nothing political about it.” When asked if Vishal would enter politics soon, the source added, “There are no immediate such plans.”
