I know pains of the poor, says Chief Minister

Even as we carry on development projects and schemes to a total cost of Rs 9,376 crore under 37,500 initiatives, since we assumed power, some still keep blaming us, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said while addressing the MGR Centenary Celebrations in Tiruvallur.

“Only people like me, who come from working class families, know what is good for the denizens of the state. Those who were born with golden spoon would not know the pains of the poor and common working populace,” he said.

He reiterated that the former and the late chief minister J Jayalalithaa did not want to leave any political heir to her throne and made it a reality for even the last rung cadre to occupy the seat of power.

Announcing new projects for the district, EPS said a new bus stand under private-public-partnership would be setup in Tiruttani. He also announced a multi-purpose techno-park.
