He visited Tamukkam ground at Madurai to release a book by one of the party workers. Speaking to his supporters, Anbumani said that there is no need to include Tamil Nadu under NEET.
“Top politicians from the ruling AIADMK government frequently visited New Delhi only to check the status of the cases filed against them and they never spoke against NEET,” he said.
The MP also questioned why BJP State President, Tamilisai Soundararajan, who had announced a protest for NEET does not protest for setting up of Cauvery management board.
Earlier, only 100 students from the CBSE and 2,300 from the state board were able to make it to MBBS admission but recently rural students could not make it because of NEET.
He also said that the Supreme Court had not banned protests against NEET, but had directed to follow constitutional means while protesting. So, they had decided to organise a protest on September 12.
