Talking to news persons here, Kannan alleged of widespread irregularities and corruption in the admission for professional courses through the centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) of the government on the basis of NEET. He charged that Chief Minister V Narayanasamy had enacted a ‘double role’ in the NEET issue. If he was opposing NEET he should have waited by not conducting the CENTAC counselling, Kannan said by joining hands with the private medical colleges by the government, the poor in Puducherry were made to run from pillar to post for money. All ministers might have got share in the deal with the maximum to the Chief Minister and Health Minister, he alleged.

Ridiculing PWD Minister and PCC President A Namasiayam for exhorting Congress cadres to join the DMK’s agitation here on Wednesday against NEET, Kannan said Narayanasamy and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami were aware that there will be NEET this year.

Alleging that it is the Congress which had blocked appointment of nominated members during NR Congress regime, Kannan said such persons do not have right to criticise nomination of three members of BJP to the territorial assembly by the Union Home Ministry.
