Speaking to reporters, Jayakumar, said that Stalin, in the peak of dejection, has been making derogatory remarks against the government. He said that the government is strong as it was headed by the strongest leader like J Jayalalithaa. So, nobody could destroy the government including TTV Dinakaran and Stalin. The minister also questioned Stalin if he can list out the projects that his party had brought to the state during their tenure.
He said, “DMK was part of the Union government for more than 17 years, but had not brought even a single good project to the state. But they (DMK) had pledged the state to the Centre.” He also said that the DMK was kneeling before the Centre for their self-profit motive and they were silent when lakhs of Tamilians were killed in Sri Lanka.
Jayakumar calls Dinakaran a ‘thief’
Taking potshots at sacked AIADMK deputy general secretary TTV Dinakaran, Fisheries minister D Jayakumar called the former a ‘thief’ by explaining an adage. Speaking to reporters at Chennai, he likened Dinakaran to a thief who started playing tricks after he was caught scaling the wall of a house he chose to steal.
