Pondy couple cheats man of Rs 14 lakh
Reddiyarpalayam police are on the lookout for a couple, who allegedly cheated a man to the tune of Rs 14 lakh.

According to police, Raja Mohammed of Madurai, a cloth merchant wanted to get a medical seat for his son at Jipmer and came to Puducherry to get the application in 2015. He had a chance meeting with Ravishekar and his wife Pramila of Radhakrishnan Nagar in Puducherry. The couple assured to get a seat for Raja Mohammed’s son on payment of Rs 20 lakh and he paid the money.
However, the couple failed to get a seat for Mohammed’s son. When the merchant asked Ravishekar and his wife to return the money, the couple dodged for some time. After much compulsion, the couple returned Rs 6 lakh. But, later they could not be contacted or traced. When Mohammed realised that he was cheated, he sought the help of the police, who registered a case and launched a hunt for the fraudster couple.
