Recently, a case was filed against him for alleged corruption in Transport Department and even the policemen were sent to Karnataka to nab Senthil Balaji.

On Thursday, Income Tax Department raided 18 places at Karur, which belonged to close relatives and friends of Senthil Balaji. The raids continued on the third day on Saturday too.

In the meantime, three lorries, allegedly belonging to Senthil Balaji, were stopped by a special team of policemen near the tollbooth at Kodai Road in Dindigul district for carrying the larger blades of windmills. Police sources said that the lorries were from Bengaluru and were on their way to Tirunelveli.

When the lorries were searched and the documents of blades of windmills were verified it showed that there were no proper tax documents attached. Also, the blades were too lengthy to be carried and there was no proper permission obtained for transportation.

So, the lorries were stopped and were taken to Ammainayakanur police station for investigation, said the sources. However, Senthil Balaji is still absconding.
