41 sovereigns of gold jewels burgled
Gold jewellery weighing 41 sovereigns (328 grams) were found stolen from a house near Thanjavur, police said.

The family woke up this morning and found the backdoor broken open and the jewellery besides Rs one lakh missing.
One sovereign of gold weighs 7.98 grams, usually rounded off to eight grams.
