Pondy medical admission row: No arrest of officials till October 9
Even as the CBI has booked cases against certain Puducherry government officials, including an IAS officer, pertaining to admission to post-graduate medical courses, the MHC was informed by the CBI on Wednesday that the said officials would not be arrested until October 9.

When the anticipatory bail moved by Health secretary BR Babu and four others came up for hearing before the vacation judge GR Swaminathan, CBI special public prosecutor Srinivasan sought an adjournment of the case until October 9.
He also offered an undertaking that the accused would not be arrested till such time their pleas are heard.
