3 die in Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri districts
Three persons including a two-year old girl, died of ‘mysterious fever’ since Monday in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts.

Police said Devika, 17, from Anjur village near Krishnagiri succumbed to fever without responding to treatment at a private hospital on Tuesday. She fell sick two months ago and was under treatment since then.
In another incident, Munirathina, 37, from Kuttoor village in Denkanikotta in Krishnagiri died of ‘mysterious fever’ at Dharmapuri GH. She was first admitted to Denkanikottai GH and then transferred to Dharmapuri GH.
Deputy Director for Health Services P Priya Raj said that Devika died of typhoid and its complications, while Munirathina died of viral fever. As several other villagers at Kuttoor are also suffering from viral fever, medical teams have been sent to monitor and curb the spread of fever. Also two-year-old Vinisha, daughter of Prabhu, a CRPF staff from Gundalahalli village in Karimangalam in Dharmapuri, died of mysterious fever on Monday.
