Enquiries with owners of Diamond Industrial Recruitment in Coimbatore, Reliance Industrial Recruitment, Renald Industrial Recruitment and Volvo Industries from Tirupur revealed that they generally issued call letters to addresses sent in the mobile number given to them.

“All firms received an SMS, which had the residential address of Justice S Vaidyanathan from the same mobile number. So the companies had sent interview letters not knowing who it is,” police said.

Police sources also said that they have traced the mobile number of a person, who sent the address of Justice to these agencies, to Tirunelveli. They have picked up the youth, whose identity is yet to be revealed, from Vasudevanallur in Tirunelveli. A probe is on to know, if it was an attempt by him to trap these manpower agencies that minted money from youngsters with fake job promises. Police, however, said that they are yet to ascertain if the job firms are involved in any fraudulent activities.

The police are to submit a report on their investigation on October 13 to the court, which took up the issue suo motu and ordered a probe.
