2 die of killer fever in Kovai

Dengue has claimed the lives of two women in Coimbatore, on Thursday. Mutha Munda (19), a daily wage labourer, had high fever and was detected with dengue. Unfortunately, she died a short while after being admitted in Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).

In another incident, Kavery, 25, from Sirumugai, was suffering from fever for the last ten days. After undergoing treatment in Sirumugai, Kavery was brought to CMCH for treatment, later, she also died. 

A 22-year-old son of Kovilpatti RDO Anitha, was admitted to Thoothukudi GH of suspected dengue, on Thursday. Sources said, Gokulnath, son of Anitha, had developed fever. As the fever did not subside, he was rushed to Thoothukudi GH suspecting dengue. However, authorities at Thoothukudi GH said that Gokulnath is suffering from viral fever and not from dengue.
