The RSS conducted the rally as part of completion of 93 years of foundation of the organisation and Vijayadasami. The rally commenced from the RSS office at Navalar Nagar in SS Colony and proceeded to Palanganatham via the Bypass Road. Around 500 RSS cadre participated in it.

According to High Court direction the RSS men were not allowed to carry swords and other weapons and even they were not allowed to raise slogans. They abided with the court order in toto.

However, high decibel drums were beaten by the cadre during the march. The rally also caused traffic snarls on the bypass road as vehicles were diverted near Palanganatham.

After the rally ended at Palanganatham, there was a public meeting in which RSS leader Vanniyarajan, addressed the gathering. He said, “Those who do politics against RSS cannot continue to do so. They will vanish in a short span of time.” He also said that some are trying to portray RSS as a communal organisation but it was founded to implement the ideas of God.

Not just Hindus are part of the organisation, but people irrespective of the religion who love the country are part of it. He also quoted Swami Vivekananda and the founder leader of RSS and said that it is a service oriented organisation and youth should come forward to serve the nation by joining in it.
