3 more die of Dengue in Coimbatore
Despite anti dengue drives, there is no let down in the number of deaths in Coimbatore district as three persons including a 10-year-old girl succumbed to the virus in a single day.

Ten-year-old girl Santhiya, a resident of Harijan Colony in Pollachi was down with fever a week ago. She was admitted to a government hospital in Pollachi. As she did not recover, the girl was shifted to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), where she died without responding to treatment.
In another incident, Swathy, 24, from Kattoor, was diagnosed with dengue but she died despite treatment. Similarly, Karuppusamy, 36, a textile worker from Avinashi in Tirupur district, died of dengue. In CMCH alone, the death toll due to dengue rose to 60, in the last four months.
